Have you ever made a friendly bet with a friend? Have you ever gone double or nothing? Have you ever gone double or nothing TWELVE TIMES AND LOST EVERY TIME?
The story goes like this…. as reported by Chris O’Leary of the Edmonton Journal, Tim (Stampeders fan) and his brother-in-law Rich (Eskimos fan) back in he year 2012 made a wager for a six-pack of beer over a Battle of Alberta pre-season game. The Stamps won and so Tim was a six-pack richer.
Then the next game came and they went double or nothing. And the Stamps won.
Then the next game came and they went double or nothing. And again the Stamps won.
Then the next game came and they went double or nothing… AGAIN.
THEN THEY DID THIS 12 MORE TIMES. And as a result Rich was 24,576 beers in the hole!
But then the unthinkable finally happened… Just when Tim was ready to cash in on his beers he got the question once again…. “Double or nothing?” and Tim accepted.
And then we know what happened…

And the bet was over, the debt resolved… until next time.
For this, Tim and Rich, you’re easily our #CFLBeauty of the week!
Check the article from the Edmonton Journal for a great video on how much beer the Eskimos think that really is. How many Grey Cups could it fill? There are even some great infographics about it. here is a sample but CLICK HERE for the full story.
