#CFLPickEM is back and there were some interesting WEEK 1 trends…
The 2016 CFL season kicked off this past week. The games that were played featured historic openers, lightning delays, participation ribbons…. and ya some upsets.
Here is a recap of the pick trends for Week 1
#CFLKickoff started with the Toronto Argos monumental opener at BMO field against their arch rival Hamilton Ticats. Pick trends throughout the week and leading up to kickoff had leaned in favor of the Ticats. The Ticats were a 61% favorite and remained true to this billing in their victory, spoiling the Boatmen’s debut in their new digs.
The Als did not garner much love from the Pick EM community coming in as a 19% underdog. However, those few who did pick the Als are smiling now as they were able to come away with a 22-14 victory over the Bombers.
Coming off their #GreyCup victory, the Eskimos came into Week 1 as a 75% favorite over the Redblacks. Despite, comical participation ribbons, the Redblacks were able to come out of Commonwealth 1-0
The last game of #CFLKickoff had the “new look” BC Lions as 19% underdog against the Stampeders. Despite this, the Lions were able to beat the Stamps in Wally’s return to the sidelines.
With Week 1 in the rear view, this how the leader-board shapes up thus far:
