After some big time rivalry games, Travis remains in the top spot.
Long gone it seems the days of Jgreenhorn and MichaelBmal, now it looks like Travis Eklund’s game to lose. 3/4 only missing the MTL/BC game and he remains in first. Is this what your board looked like?
Onto the match-ups…
A surprise to many, after beating Hamilton, the Alouettes laid an egg and could not knock off John Beck and the BC Lions. They catch the bye at the right time an dhave installed Anthony Calvillo as one of their co-offensive coordinators. As for BC, they go forward without Travis Lulay for 3-6 weeks and we will see if John Beck can help keep BC in the race for the playoffs and not #1 overall in the draft.
0-9 and favoured. But this time they finally delivered. The Riders secured win #1 on the season over the reeling Bombers. These two teams will play eachother again this coming weekend and we’d expect to see many ride the Riders on the road, even with Matt Nichols starting for the Bombers.
If there was any doubt who the beast of the East was, it’s the Ticats and according to the score from this game, it’s not close. The Argos looked helpless in all phases and the Ticats dominated. Playing at the Rogers Centre, the Argos need to put up some sort of fight to even keep pace with the Ticats who now hold the season series win over the Boatmen.
Finally, in the Battle of Alberta, a return of Mike Reilly was not enough for the Esks to take the Stamps in a defensive battle. Reilly should start and play the full rematch making it an interesting pick this week with the game in Edmonton. We’d expect a close split of almost 50-50 for a pick trend.
