#CFLPickEm Update Week 8: Did YOU Go 4/4?

leader

For this first time all season, all four favourites won!

It was a big week for CFL PickEm as the favourites went 4/4 for the first time all season.  This mean plenty of you picked up some much needed points and if you already had some points from last week, you could have hit a 5 game streak for a bonus 200 points!

Congrats to the aptly named “Footballfan” for jumping up to first.  Only 70 points in the lead, the top is chalk full of contenders for the title.

Thursday night saw a defensive struggle go the way of the favourite as the Eskimos eeked out a last second FG game-winner.  This was just the beginning of the favourites holding court in week 8. The Als turnaround and play again on Thursday when they travel to BC to battle the Lions.  Meanwhile the Esks get their stiffest test of 2015 as they face the steamrolling Hamilton Tiger Cats.  After weak offensive performances in week 8, both Montreal and Edmonton will be tough picks in week 9.

In game 2 the Toronto Argonauts came from behind to beat the Robert Marve lead Bombers.  While many thought this might be a romp, the Bombers stayed in the game showing some tenacity and proving they shouldn’t just be straight picked against without Willy in the lineup.  Chad Kackert returned for Toronto giving them a spark and will hope to carry that momentum into next week when they host the REDBLACKS coming off a dismantling at the hands of the Stampeders.  The Bombers hit the bye in week 9.

Are the Hamilton Tiger-Cats playing at home?  If they are, just take them 100% confidence for the foreseeable future. They dominate there and it’s not close.  They travel to Edmonton for a test against the best defence in the CFL.  BC on the flip side looks to get back on track against a reeling Alouettes team.

HAMBC

In the final game of the week, the favourite won AGAIN as the Stamps destroyed the REDBLACKS at home and it was never close.  The REDBLACKS used three QBs in the game and their offence was not clicking on any cylinders.  The Stamps take on the 0-7 Riders in what will be a game they are heavily favourited in while Ottawa travels to the 5-2 Argos where they will have stiff test and a real bench mark game for CFL PickEm players.
