#CFLPickEm Update: Welcome To The Spotlight Travis Eklund

A new week, a new leader…

Seems like every week we’re writing about a new leader with nobody able to string together a reign at the top.  This week we welcome Travis Eklund to the top spot and that’s even with an incorrect pick in the Thursday nighter.  Though, most people bungled that one.

Let’s start there…. One of our biggest upsets of the year saw Montreal win the first game at Tim Hortons Field with only 5% of people making that pick!  When we talk about upsets THAT’S what we’re talking about.  Kudos to those 5% that took them and gained a 100 point swing at minimum against everyone.  This week MTL is back on Thursday vs. BC while Hamilton hosts Toronto in a battle of top teams in the East.

64% nailed this one as the Argos put up a dud against the Esks.  James Franklin (at least for now) looks like a more than capable fill in for Mike Reilly.  With big #LDWeekend match-ups on tap for both teams, the standings would look very different in 2 weeks.

No Willy, seems to mean pick against the Bombers.  They’re 3-0 when Willy finishes a game, and 0-5 without him.  That said, this week against the 0-9 Riders… who knows. As for the Stamps, the beast may have awoken in Calgary but they face a stiff test with two games against the Esks over the next two weeks.

Yes, you’re seeing that correctly. The Riders at 0-8 were FAVOURED against the REDBLACKS.  That was clearly a mistake by all parties involved.  Now we’d say to keep picking against them but a Drew Willy-less Bombers squad presents an interesting proposition.  They have to get a win eventually… right?

  1. sometime a change may please the fans but this may have a negative effect on players the manager is and was a good for this team, the coach his ego got to him and forget the players are his success.
