When Stephanie Koch designed her shirt for eLUXE and the CFL, she wanted to engineer something fans could wear on multiple occasions: whether at home watching the game with sweat pants and a snack; or getting dressed up and heading to the stadium.
“Football is a really social thing in my household: my mom makes food, certain members yell obscenities, and my two-year-old son runs around yelling “hut, hut, hut,” says Stephanie Koch on her blog Inherited Jeans.
It’s a scene that’s probably familiar to many Canadians, especially at this time of year when people pack their living rooms to watch the final few CFL games of the season. The Grey Cup is set to take centre stage on Nov. 30.
Koch, who is based in Vancouver, shared the story to her fans as she discussed her experiences working with eLUXE and the CFL for the new #MyGreyCup collection. She designed a tee that’s perfect for donning to watch the kickoff of the 102nd annual sporting event ($45): the grey item is emblazoned with the phrase “K*ck Off 102.”
“I wanted to have a shirt that was right at home on the couch with sweats and a snack, or a little dressed up to go out and watch a game,” she added on her blog. “I was so excited to be in on this project as a large fan of football and sports in general. I played tennis in university, work in athletics and keep involved in coaching in the community.”
