Sights, Sounds and Social: Thanksgiving Edition

Sights Sounds and Social thanksgiving

#CFLWired, #Bombers supporting a great cause and THANKSGIVING!!!

We’ve got a special THANKSGIVING EDITION of Sights, Sounds and Social, let’s get to it.

Not only was it THANKSGIVING, which is awesome in its own right but we also had 3 (count em 3) #CFLWired games. The first of which kicked off Friday Night when the #Riders headed to the Nation’s Capital to face the #REDBLACKS.

The #REDBLACKS were trailing in the 2nd half and decided to make a switch at QB as Henry Burris took the reigns from Trevor Harris:

Although the 2015 MOP was able to mount a comeback and take this game to OT, the #Riders and Tyler Crapinga’s foot had the last laugh.

Saturday brought about the 2nd #CFLWired  game as West power houses #Lions and #Bombers squared off.  #Bombers Andrew Harris had a little more incentive in this game playing against his former squad.

This game seemed like it was going to be a #Bombers blowout, however the #Lions “clawed” back. However, said comeback fell short as the #Bombers took the 1st of consecutive meetings between these two.

Both the #Lions and #Bombers can leave Saturday happy as they punched their ticket to the #GCPlayoffs.

In addition to a W this weekend, the #Bombers showed all class on Monday October 10th as Investors Group Field was lit up purple in support of World Mental Health Day

Then it was Monday which meant it was THANKSGIVING. We at the #CFL were very thankful to have a Turkey Day Doubleheader. Game 1 was our final #CFLWired game and it pitted the #Esks against the #Als.

The mic’s were put to good use early on in this contest:

Although the #Als averted disaster on the above play, they could not contain the high octane offence of the #Esks, in particular Mike Reilly. The #Esks cruised to victory on the shoulders of Reilly’s big performance.

Our final game of Week 16 had the #Stamps riding into #BMO to take on the #Argos. From start to finish the #Stamps were in firm control and showed why they are the class of the #CFL.

The #Stamps not only dominated but they put on a show in the process:

The win also ensured that the #RoadtotheGreyCup would go through Calgary in the West.

The #RoadToTheGreyCup goes THROUGH Calgary. #CFL
