As part of Nissan’s “Back in the Game” program, Nissan and the CFL will provide funding and support to 21 struggling high school football programs across the country. From Vancouver to Montreal, these teams can be found in each CFL market and will be given funding, equipment, playing field improvements, training materials or whatever other obstacles may have been keeping them out of the game.
Hamilton’s John A. MacDonald High School is one of the 21 schools selected from the program, and on Monday, they were given the surprise of a lifetime.
Scott Radley of the Hamilton Spectator was there to catch the team’s reaction on video, and it’s worth the watch.
Nissan has also put together a very impressive documentary series on some of these schools. Click here to watch.
