With both Montreal Alouettes QBs Brandon Bridge & Rakeem Cato set to see game action for the Alouettes in Week 2 we realized you might not know much about them so we went on a little YouTube deep dive to show you what they’re all about!
First up, Canadian QB Brandon Bridge who started his collegiate career at Alcorn State and later transferred to South Alabama was very impressive at college. As a senior in 2014, Bridge completed 160 of 307 passes 1,927 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Competing with Bridge is QB Rakeem Cato out of Marshall. Cato was a BEAST at college smashing plenty of league and team records. On October 18, 2014, Cato threw a touchdown pass in his 39th consecutive game, breaking Russell Wilson’s FBS record for most consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass. That season he finished the season with 3,903 yards, 40 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Cato finished his career with a school record 14,079 passing yards and 131 passing touchdowns.
